SARK UCS/MVP Call Back Panel

_SARK UCS/MVP _ Call Back Panel is used to authorize telephone numbers which are eligible to use CALLBACK trunks.

How CALLBACK works.

CALLBACK provides a facility for remote workers and associates to make "free" calls (the call will still incur a cost, but not to the caller). The caller dials a "CALLBACK" trunk on the PBX. The PBX does not terminate the call so there is no cost to the caller. Instead, it immediately gives a congested signal back to the carrier. The PBX then retrieves the CLID of the caller and consults a list of "authorized" numbers. If (and ONLY if) the CLID appears in the authorized list, then the PBX schedules an outbound call back to the caller. When the caller answers, the PBX gives him, or her, dialtone so that an internal or outbound call may now be dialled without incurring any cost to the caller.

CALLBACK trunks are defined by choosing "CALLBACK" in a trunk's inbound route(s).

Authorized Number:

Description - Authorised phone number.
Permissable values - Any valid station-to-station* telephone number
Default - Required.
note *By "station-to-station" we mean a number which will be answered by the original caller (NOT, for example, a PBX general number). Only known endpoints (for example, a domestic or mobile phone) should be used.

Description:

Description - Freeform Description.
Permissable values - Any valid alphanumeric string.

Prefix:

Description - Prefix to be added to the CLID to ready it for an outbound dial. For example, in domestic North America, CLIDs are normally presented without the NDD so they need to be prefixed with a 1 (the US NDD) in order to dial them back. Conversely, in the UK, CLIDs are normally presented with the NDD included (0) so no prefix is necessary.
Permissable values - Any valid numeric string.

Cluster:

Description - Dropdown, Cluster this caller belongs to.
Permissable values - Any valid value from the dropdown
Default - default cluster.

Channel:

Description - Dropdown, channel to use for the outbound call.
Permissable values - Any valid value from the dropdown
Default - Required
Note - A warning will be generated if the channel chosen does not belong to the Cluster.
