SARK UCS/MVP Telephony Card Definitions

selsniff & selautosniff - SAIL's device sniffer

Important NOTE!

Selsniff has been deprecated in SAIL-2.1.11-143. It is still present in the release but there is also a new routine called selautosniff which needs no user input to detect and configer TDM4xx class boards and X100P? boards. If your SAIL release is -143 or higher then you need do nothing at all, everything is handled automatically. However, this routine will ONLY handle TDM and X100P? boards. For ISDN BRI you need 2.1.12 or higher.

selsniff - SAIL's pre -143 device sniffer

X100P? 's are configured totally automatically, however TDM400's need some input from you. The routine will ask you to provide details of the FXO/FXS daughterboards fitted to your card. Here is the output from a system with a TDM11b and X100P? card fitted....

[root@test7 selintra]# perl /etc/selintra/selsniff
