About QoS Panel

_SARK UCS/MVP _ The QoS panel allows the user to run VOIP QoS. It gives priority to voice packets over data packets. It should be noted that QoS will only run in server gateway mode. If sme server is running in server only mode then you will not be able to start QoS, and so will not see the start/stop button.

In order to run QoS, first enter the required parameters, commit these parameters, then press the start button. You may need to try out different percentage parameters to find the ones that work best for your setup. A good start point is to throttle back your upload to about 75% and your download to 90-95%.

Upload bandwidth

Description - Defines the upload bandwidth in Kb of your broadband.
Permissable values - Any integer.
default - None.

Percentage of upload bandwidth

Description - Defines a percentage of your broadband upload bandwidth.
Permissable values - Any integer.
default - None.

Download bandwidth

Description - Defines the download bandwidth in Kb of your broadband.
Permissable values - Any integer.
default - None.

Percentage of download bandwidth

Description - Defines a percentage of your broadband download bandwidth.
Permissable values - Any integer.
default - None.
